soul connections,
sometimes existing outside of poetry
make you high
ambivalent connections
confuse people us both
all of 'em make you vulnerable and scared
so we could runaway
often do
or try to stay
when it feels they
have something to offer

then you feel dependent
as you get close
scaring you
who listens or thinks
making you wonder

how does this ever
